E-Bike Tours
For a story to tell when you return home, book a tour on an electric bike and experience the hundreds of years of Tuscan history when black smoke rose between the hills. When the Arezzo-Fossato narrow gauge railway was inaugurated in 1886, it extended 133 km with 23 tunnels and 19 bridges. With our e-bikes, we will travel the small part that remains intact from Arezzo to Palazzo del Pero, including a few tunnels and several bridges that survived WWII. The journey lasts around 2 hours at a biking speed of 35-40 km/h, which is faster than the original train’s speed of 12-15 km/h!

To discover more of the countryside, follow the historic Path of Reclamation on an e-bike tour along the Canale Maestro della Chiana, which dates back to the 16th century. The route is flat but quite long (70 km). The tour begins by train; at the end of the line, we unload our bikes and pedal our way back via Chiusi lake between ancient orchards, Leopoldine houses, and medieval villages. Best experienced in the milder climate of spring. Cost and availability upon request; for overnight guests only.
